Happy WIAW Friends!
And a VERY happy girl over here. Good things come to those who work hard. Workin’ at it every day!
This week I’ve really been cleaning it up with my eats and loving it! I feel much more energetic and refreshed with a healthy, fueled body.
Here’s a look at my eats from yesterday…
After my workout I refueled with another “pancake omelette . This might be my new favorite breakfast! 1 egg, 1 egg white, mixed with 1 scoop protein powder, flax, mashed 1/2 banana and cinnamon. Cooked in coconut oil and served with natural-ground peanut butter on top! A side of blueberries to get my extra antioxidants on the side! Apparently yesterday was National Pancake Day so I guess I celebrated correctly!
Fresh juice is back! Hooray! 1 apple. 1/2 pear on its last life. 2 carrots. 4 stalks of celery and 2 Swiss chard leaves. I had half of this with my L-Glutamine & B complex and half with my lunch. The directions for taking my L-Glutamine say to take it between meals so I’m taking it with my mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks.
A #PowerBowl inspired by miss Powercakes herself! Into the bowl went kale, spinach, alfalfa sprouts, quinoa lentil mix, tomatoes, brussels sprouts, avocado, olives, oysters & topped with “nooch” sauce. This kept me fueled through some business paperwork and errands.
After my errands I was getting a bit “hangry” so I ate my apple in the car and had some sharp cheddar cheese with crackers as a quick snack when I got home. When it comes to cheese, it’s far better to eat the natural full-fat version to get the healthy fat & calcium benefits than any of that Kraft cheese stuff… yuck!
Dinner was SO fresh and clean. I forgot how much I loved cod; need to eat more of that! Baked lemon cod with baked sweet potato and steamed broccoli.
Hope you have a great Wednesday! Favorite TV night of the week.. already looking forward to Modern Family tonight!
What’s your favorite cod recipe?
We are thinking about trying a healthy “fried” version with coconut oil & crushed almonds next time!
